YWAM Mission Statement, Objectives and Goals
(for Southern Sudan). November 2003.

Mission Statement:

To see the people of Sudan rise up with dignity and proclaim Christ, thus leading to the spiritual, emotional and physical transformation of the person. This will create a base from which to develop the community and the nation, imparting biblical values into society, promoting peace and resulting in Churches sending missionaries throughout Sudan and into the world.

‘Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rise upon you. See darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn (Isaiah 60: 1-3)’.

Objectives:
1. Witness to the individual so that they can receive Christ and be transformed and reach their full potential in life. Titus 3:3-7, John 8:31-32

2. To see people take up a Biblical worldview, which will lead to a healthy family lifestyle.
Deut 23: 12-14, Eph 5:22- 6:4

3. Encourage the church to be united and train godly leadership, proclaiming Christ and discipling their congregation resulting in sending missionaries throughout Sudan beyond.
Eph 4:15-16, II Tim 2:2

4. To see Biblical values imparted in the community, society and nation leading to reconciliation of tribes and development of social minority groups. II Chron 7:14, Col 1:14-20, Matt 28:19-20
