Bags of Hope

In 2009 staff from YWAM Sudan felt called to distribute a tangible gift to Sudanese families at Christmas as a celebration of Jesus. With faith in their hearts they prayed to be able to distribute Bags of Hope to 100 families that year. God did more than they asked and they distributed over 500 bags to families in December of 2009. Last year they prayed and decided to set a goal of 1000 bags. Educating the next generation in South Sudan

Lokuta is from South Sudan, but spent much of his life living in a refugee camp in northern Uganda due to war. It was in that camp that he came to know Jesus as His Savior and became involved in his local church. Before long, he felt God calling him back to his home country to serve as a missionary with YWAM.

After years of planning and praying, a team is now preparing to run the first School of Biblical Studies (SBS) in northern Sudan in January of 2012. Here is an update from the family which will lead the school...
