George and Anna are a couple from Uganda who have been serving in Yei, South Sudan for a number of years. In addition to leading the Discipleship Training Schools (DTS) at the base in Yei, they have also started an agricultural project. Building on their experiences farming back in Uganda, they have purchased two bulls and a plow to be used at the YWAM base and in the local villages. While this technology is common throughout Africa, it is relatively rare for South Sudan. Using these animals... Continue reading ...

Many thanks go out to Africom for creating another video highlighting YWAM's work in South Sudan. This short video gives a glimpse of the awesome work God is doing through Lokuta and the other staff in Yei. Enjoy... YWAM Redeem Primary School, Yei South Sudan from YWAM AfriCom on Vimeo. That is only $30... Continue reading ...

"Once again I'd like to thank you for your prayers and support toward my recent trip to South Sudan and Uganda. The pastor's conference that we pulled together was quite successful, especially considering all the unknowns going in. Two pastors from the United States, Pastor Sam from YWAM Arua and myself (from YWAM NSI) taught approximately 50 Sudanese pastors for four days about missions, lea... Continue reading ...

Lokuta is from South Sudan, but spent much of his life living in a refugee camp in northern Uganda due to war. It was in that camp that he came to know Jesus as His Savior and became involved in his local church. Before long, he felt God calling him back to his home country to serve as a missionary with YWAM.
Almost ten years ago Lokuta arrived at the YWAM base in Yei, South Sudan with a heart to work with children. Decades of war meant there were very few schools in South Sudan and the ones t... Continue reading ...

George, the Discipleship Training School (DTS) leader in Yei, emailed recently. They are preparing for the first DTS in independent South Sudan this September. They are praying for 15 students and hope to take them on outreach to remote regions of southern Sudan. However, their truck is in desperate need of repair. Please pray with them to see the funds released and the truck repaired before the DTS begins.
