Only Grace clinic in Yei, Southern Sudan
Posted by on Monday, March 1, 2010
Here is an update from Santos, the new base administrator in YWAM Yei.
He is giving us an update and prayer requests for the small clinic YWAM
runs out of the base in Yei, southern Sudan...
"...This clinic was the first health facilities to be established in this area around the YWAM base in Yei, southern Sudan. There has been no clinic in this immediate area since before the war... The coming of YWAM in this area was as like a redeemer and in real sense this has made a big difference in this area. Through the Only Grace first aid clinic many people have received their healing. This is because the drugs are not only just given to the patients, but it is given to them with prayers and encouragement. God has been so faithful in performing many miracles. Also many children have been also delivered in this clinic, despite the fact that it is only meant to be a first aid center. It has been serving population of more than five hundred people both adults and children in this community.
Therefore, I want thank God who has been gracious to us. So friends and partners in the Lord, if you feel like seeing this ministry of God in Sudan continue serving this community both spiritually and physically please stand with us...
Prayers Needs
1. More volunteers to serve, because for the moment am the only one.
2. Financial support for having more drugs in place for basic treatment.
3. To have a delivering ward(room) because for the moment we are sharing the facilities with the base administration, which can be challenging.
4. More local staff to be sent to take basic training in health sector.
5. For more wisdom and protection upon the current workers."
Thank God for this clinic and the many staff and volunteers that have served in it. Continue to pray that God will sustain and grow the ministry.
